Montreal's Annual Anarchist Bookfair, Submitted by: stevenl |
Montreal's Fourth Annual Anarchist Bookfair, the largest anarchist gathering in North America after the San Francisco Bay Area Anarchist Bookfair, is an important sharing of anarchist and anti-authoritarian ideas for anarchists and non-anarchists alike. This year's bookfair will feature more than 50 booksellers and groups from all over North America, as well as the Federation Anarchiste from France. Workshop presenters include Bo Brown, Ashanti Alston, Eric Drooker and Cindy Milstein. Festival of Anarchy events will take place between May 1 and May 18.
All bookfair events are free, but donations are appreciated. Proceeds from this year's anarchist bookfair will be divided between the Montreal Political Prisoner Calendar Collective, the North American Anarchist People of Colour Conference (Detroit, October 2003), Les Pages Noires (Anarchist Infoshop in Quebec City) and La Biblioteca Social Reconstruir (Anarchist Library in Mexico City).
