PoetryReviews.ca is dedicated to reviewing poetry books/chapbooks by Canadian authors. This site was conceptualized and is edited by Eric Barstad. He currently lives with his partner Erin and their three cats — Finnegan, Pickles, and Claude — in Gleichen, Alberta, a small farming community an hour east of Calgary. Eric completed his MA in English and Creative Writing at the University of New Brunswick in 2001 and now runs Shadow Box Creative Media, a graphic design company that provides Web and print marketing for non-profit organizations and the arts. Eric published A Gloss on Our Painted Gods with Frontenac House in 2003 and is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta.
