About Me: I am a freelance writer with articles published in over a dozen national journals and magazines. I also collect antique typewriters as a hobby. In the past, I have worked as a freelance editor for a small american book publishing house, worked as a senior editor for a regional magazine. I have written more than 10 books and ebooks and have had hundreds of articles published both in print and on the web.

Duotrope's Digest is a free resource for writers that primarily offers an extensive, searchable database of current short fiction and poetry markets.  It also offers a calendar of upcoming deadlines, submissions trackers (for registered users) and some nifty reports compiled from the data it has accumulated. Use this site to search for fiction markets that may make a fine home for that short story or poem you just finished. It offers a number of free services for writers and editors, including a free online submissions tracker for registered users. It is updated about once a day and check all the listings at least once a week to ensure the most up-to date database possible.
