The Small Press Exchange is looking for Community Moderators to steward the Small Press Exchange community.

Your primary responsibility as a Community Moderator will be to keep the site vibrant and well-maintained, filled with new and high quality information.

Your focus will be to foster an online community that encourages passion, editorial integrity, and information sharing. The ideal candidate will have incredible passion for the small press, is interested in embracing a new technology, and is driven to create a new, better online home for communities to share experiences and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Regular maintenance of the site to keep the community free spam.

Regular contributions of relevant content (news stories, original contributions, etc.) to keep the site up-to-date.

Edit user-created content to ensure consistent quality (fixing grammatical or formatting errors).

Supplementing user forum posts with additional information such as related _link_s, responding to comments, starting discussions, etc.

Solicit, review, and the translate community feedback into recommendations for improving the site’s features and functionality.

Skills & Experience

Passion for furthering this community collaboration.

Web communication skills via forums, blogs, wikis, etc.

Strong editing and writing skills required. Online experience and familiarity with HTML preferred.
