A Test of Poetry 2 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0  
For poets and language-heads, a book that will make you work hard and make you think is Zukofsky's A Test of Poetry.

He presents selected quotes, side by side, with the occasional footnote. Zukovsky lets you figure things out yourself. Some of the selections are tough, but you soon discover that it is as much sound as meaning that is important. In any event, there are plentiful and helpful footnotes.
