The Small Press Exchange has an ever-growing list of _title_s available for review. We're looking for experienced writers who can turn something around to us in about two weeks. If you, or someone you know is interested please register with our site and check out our available materials to make a request for a review copy.

All of our reviewers are independent volunteers and retain complete ownership of their reviews and may have them printed or aired in any other review formats or forums in addition to our own publications and Internet postings. All reviews done for the Small Press Exchange are nonexclusive.

Small Press Exchange lists books/CDs primarily from independent publishers. We are particularly interested in books in the categories of poetry, fiction, and literary non-fiction and general non-fiction. We will also accept graphic novels, chapbooks, music CDs (music and spoken word), and children's books.

We prefer newer _title_s only - published within the current year. At the start of the new year, we will continue to accept any previous years _title_ until the fall.

I'd be happy to do some reviews—off to make some selections.

I recently posted a review of Jessica Smith's Organic Furniture Cellar. What an interesting book. At times it was a little difficult to wrap my mind around, but that, of course, is its charm -- it's meant to be that way. I hope books this challenging continue to be submitted here.

That this is a user-powered site -- meaning content is submitted by users rather than controlled by an editorial team -- made me feel better about admitting some of my shortcomings as Smith's reader. Otherwise, I would have been compelled to spend months combing through all of the attention she payed to early language poets -- many of whom i am unacquainted with. Maybe that's the beauty of a place like this -- it could also be its downfall! haha
