The Small Press Exchange now includes an invitation feature you can use to send e-mail invitations to friends and colleagues who have not yet joined thes site. You may use the "Invite" tab (located in every member's profile) to invite as many users as you like.

On the invitation form you can type a message to include in the invitation e-mail message. This way, you may add a personal message to the default e-mail.

The invitation form automatically sends an e-mail message to the email address you specify, notifying them that they have been invited to the Small Press Exchange site. Each e-mail message includes a _link_ to the site URL.

Quick FAQ

1. How Do I Send an Invitation?
Log in, and click the "invite" tab on your profile.

2. Does the Small Press Exchange collect the email addresses I provide?
NO! The Small Press Exchange uses the email address you enter ONLY to send the invitation. Email addresses are NOT collected, and addresses are NOT used in any other way. In fact, Email addresses aren't even saved at all once you send the invitation. We also offer a quick wizard (from our friends at Plaxo) which provides access to your contacts, wherever they are stored: Hotmail, Yahoo, Americal Online, GMail, Outlook and Outlook Express are all supported!

3. Will I be notified if the person accepts my invitation?
All invitations are tracked, so you may check the status of your invitations in real time. The member with the most accepted invitations by the end of January 2007 will receive a special prize package (to be announced soon).

4. Can I Send to More Than One Person at a Time?
Yes! We also offer a quick wizard (from our friends at Plaxo) which provides access to your contacts, wherever they are stored: Hotmail, Yahoo, Americal Online, GMail, Outlook and Outlook Express are all supported!

5. Do I Have to Be a member to send/View Invites?
Yes, only members may access the invitation form.

6. Can I Fake an Address?
No. In order to send an invitation, you must be logged in and you can only use your Small Press Exchange Username. Your name and email address are automatically included in the invitation email to your friend or colleage.

7. What Are Some invitation sending etiquette guidelines?
Generally it's considered rude and annoying to multiple wide mailings inviting friends. Repeating invite spammers will be warned and will have their accounts frozen and/or removed.
