I was just browsing the member directory and was surprised to find that out 100 members, only a handful seem to ever post here in the forum.

This seems like such a nice place for discussion, I was just wondering how much promtion you do to get people coming in, and how much do you promote the forum publicly?

We haven't promoted the site publicly and have relied, thus far, on word of mouth and referrals. That may change in the future, though!

Really, 100 members is a small community (but we are growing at a quick rate! Out of 100 members I would only expect a few to post publicly on the forums. I think that's the nature of message boards in general. The number of registered users reflect how many people have registered for the site since its inception. A lot like to lurk!

Also, patrons usually come here with specific reasons in mind. Only a small percentage of users ever use the boards on a regular or long term basis -- but we encourage you to do so! Some people post because they have a problem or a question, some come to develop friendships with other writers and others are never visible, they just read.
