Got this from The Daily Telegraph's site.

Hillary Clinton—in the running to be first female leader of the free world—was left looking like a goose during a speech to Silicon Valley technology business leaders in California.

Her podium, at the Applied Technologies University campus in Santa Clara, was _frame_d by a backdrop featuring the large slogan "New jobs for tommorrow".

Yep, that's right, with an extra "M" in the middle of the last word.

The article went on to say:

According to a gushing report from the scene, "She quickly let her audience of some 150 Silicon Valley CEO's know that she was the hi-technology presidential candidate".

However, Ms Clinton clearly failed to impress upon them that she was the high-quality grammatical candidate.

And while they focus on new jobs for tomorrow, perhaps they should all concentrate on correct spelling for today.

I love Hilary Clinton, really I do, but I can’t decided if she’s my candidate or not. Sometimes she comes off as wooden, and sometimes she comes off as utterly human — then I can trust her!

Not that you did, ebookguru, but this is drawing a lot of comparisons to Dan Quayle's spelling of potato(e). Almost everybody acknowledge Hillary Clinton’s staff’s mistake on the gaffe.

The difference between this, and Dan Quayle’s spelling of ‘potato’, was that this was not Hillary Clinton’s work...whereas with the ‘potato’ incident, the venerable Vice President himself “corrected” a student’s spelling.

So no comparison!

She didn’t use spell check, and we are all sometimes guilty of that too. In our haste to voice our opinion, we do not take time to check.

But Hillary has oodles of people paid to check her spelling. An extra “M” does not seem a huge problem, but for someone hoping to be President it probably does.

Bush makes a few mistakes, but what the heck this is computer age, blame the computer.
