The small press magazines for which I write are generally available only through sub_script_ions. Occasionally, however, I come across a book store that actually carries them. I'd be interested in knowing of any chains/individual dealers who stock small press magazines, nationally or even internationally. (I write for several small press publications in Australia too.)

I live in PA and I know that Gene's Book Store in the King of Prussia Mall has a section for small press magazines. I've also been told there are stores in Manhattan and Niagara Falls that carry these 'zines.

Anyone familiar with stores ANYWHERE that cater to the small press reader, please post information here. Of course, I'm thinking of asking them to stock my new press' _title_s!

Well I guess this is a very regional question, but Powell's City of Books in Portland, Oregon, has a large small press section, as well as having a considerable selection of alternative periodicals in their magazine section (great online presence, too). Elliott Bay Books in Seattle, Laughing Horse in Portland, Hungry Head in Eugene, and Village Books in Bellingham are a few more in the northwest. The situation is far from great, but the reality is that small presses have better access to the marketplace than at any time in recent memory.
