Automatic Page Numbering in Quark 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 1
Okay this one is going to make me look pretty stupid, but...

I am working on a book (I don't usually do layout or design). Is there any way to use the automatic page numbering with roman numerals in the front section of the book? For the life of me, I can't seem to figure it out.

This is the case with Quark 6.5 (passport edition). I can't speak for 7—soes anybody use it?

Under the Page heading at the top, pull down to Section, and then select 'Section Start' and go down to the Page Numbering area.

That will give you an opportunity to specify what kind of numerals you want to use and what numeral(s) to begin with.

You will want to select this also when you're finished with the Roman numerals and want to return to the regular numbers.

Thank you so much. How simple. Yes, I am still using 6.5. Thanks again.
