I have QuarkXpress 7 Passport at my home. Doing some work, I tried to open page in Quark 6 standard version at my workplace.

Message pop up said "This document cannnot be opened with this version of QuarkXpress..." even though I exported it to version 6. I think yhr problem is PASSPORT vs STANDARD version.

If anyone had idea how to fix problem, let me know — it's much appreciated.

It sounds like you have a filename problem maybe.

Be sure that the files are saved or exported as Quark 6-compatible. Moreover, make sure you save the documents as ".qxp" not ".qxd"—this is a common mistake I see a lot especially on when ti comes to the PC.

Are you on PC or Macintosh? Please lus know whether this helps or not. Maybe we can think of something else to try.

Once I have created a project in Quark 7, I have the option to SAVE or SAVE AS.

When doing this, the pop-up window gives you only two options: Save As QXP or QXT. There's not an option to save in lower version—i.e. Q6

Secondly, there's an option under FILE to EXPORT the project or PDF. When PROJECT is chosen, I can choose version 6 but when trying to open in Quark 6 I receive a message that: "This file cannot be open with this version of QuarkXpress..."
