Generally, I prefer when the house/senate is controlled by one party and the presidency controlled by the other. It helps ensure both sides work together for the common good of the country rather than the presidency becoming a rubber stamp for one parties political goals. If anything this election shows is that a lot of people are sick of partisan politics.
