Does anybody have any POD experience with Dog Ear Publishing?
They are _base_d out of Indianapolis, Indiana. They claim to allow authors the complete freedom to set their retail price and profit at any level. They claim the lowest per unit costs of any publishing company.
Here's the specs that they provide a quote on:
- 6X9 trim size, 150 pages, one color interior, 4 color cover, 5 interior images... - Paperback - ISBN and bar code included, Library of Congress Control number - Custom cover and interior - PDF or laser proofs delivered to author, - Including 100 additional paperback units
The above publishing package is $899. For printing services — $4.28/unit (any number of copies) x 100 units = $428. Total expenditure for above $1,327.
Does this seem like a good offer? Anybody here anything either good or bad about them?
