Hi Everyone, I found your site featured on the latest issue of www.laurahird.com and think you are just the group for me.
This is for a couple of reasons. I am a writer and have just completed my first novel. Since I began writing I have heard that it is almost impossible to be published these day and yet tens of thousands of books are published each year. I reckon it will be good to be involved in a forum of writers and publisher to find out what the truth of the matter is. I am also an avid reader and find it impossible to find good reads these day. In the UK the book retail market is dominated by two large booksellers and supermarket trash. I have resorted to reading novels published years ago. I do support my local independent bookstore and would like to lend my support to independent publishers too. I see this as the only way we can force good fiction back on the shelf.

There, rant over. I am looking forward to using the site. I will try to take part in as many of the discussions as I am qualified to but will probably not use the blog feature because I have my own Blog which can be accessed through my website. www.moiramcpartlin.com
I look forward to making friend with a whole new buntch of like minded folk

Moira
