Greetings from Meadowhawk Press 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hello! Meadowhawk Press is a new speculative fiction publisher _base_d in the Memphis, TN area.

We debuted our first anthology as a benefit for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. Touched By Wonder: A Symphony of Fantastic Tales launched in October with limited distribution and decent attention. 5 stories from the anthology were selected by a Nebula Award jury member for consideration. We will be putting it into distribution late Jan/early Feb.

We have 6 novels on the calendar for '08, a Science Fiction novel, Terminal Mind, but an award winning debut novelist David Walton. A YA Fantasy novel by John Zakour and Liz Keller, Illusia. And 4 other Fantasy novels that we're finalizing paperwork on.

So. What can we do to help each other out?

Hi Meadowhawk —

Hey! I'm so glad to see more sci-fi/spec fiction people/publishers join up. I'm joining your email list, and I'm going to check you guys out further! Checked out the Touched By Wonder author list and was stoked to see that Corey Mesler's stuff is appearing in it ÿ great writer and he's all over the web!

I'll help you guys out with a review here — or on my blog, if you like!

Thanks, scififan! Corey's story is a great read. Very different from everything else in there.

Jackie, the editor, did it as a blind read. Meaning stories were read without regard for 'names' or bibliographies. The end result was a beautiful blend of fantastic stories. The early reviews we're getting are almost shock at the consistently high caliber of story. Usually anthologies have some good, some bad, and a couple great stories. I don't think there's a story that couldn't wind up in a 'Year's Best' anthology elsewhere. But... I'm biased.

I can't find a _link_ to your blog scifi, please share it!
