The next installment of the Test Reading Series (curated by Mark Truscott) will be a conjoined event: it's also doubling as the Toronto launch-pad for CAROUSEL 20 (see content list below). Rob Read, one of the featured poets in the new issue, will be reading from his 'Book of Sparrows' suite, and copies of CAROUSEL 20 will be available for purchase at a discounted rate of $8 for the evening!

Reader Bios
Rob Read (1978– ) grew up in rural Ontario, Canada, and has lived in Toronto since 1996, other than a year in the UK in 2002–2003. His most recent books are O Spam, Poams: Selected Daily Treated Spam (BookThug, 2005) and Atone Neither Overflowing Clause, a collaborative pair of novellas written with AEM (Produce Section Press, 2005). Read also publishes hand-made books through Produce Press.
Souvankham Thammavongsa is the author of Small Arguments. The poems in Small Arguments were first published by the author over a series of handmade chapbooks. Her work has garnered praise for its "quiet, beautiful, jeweller's-eye lyrics" and has won the national Relit prize for poetry. Thammavongsa has presented her poems at the Emily Carr and Harbourfront' s Premiere Dance Theatre. Pedlar Press will release her new work in 2007.
