Filling Station Magazine is proud to announce Blow-Out 2! Filling Station's 2nd annual festival in celebrating Calgary's literary talent over 3 explosive days of poetry, prose and community. Calgary is known across the country as a hotbed for new & exciting literature—here's your chance to find out why.
Join filling Station magazine for the 2nd annual calgary blow-out, featuring 20 current or former calgarian writers in an explosion of poetry, prose, experimentation and community.
Writes Emily Senger of the University of Calgary's Gauntlet of last year's Blow Out: "Forget the standard microphone and barren stage of open mic night, BLOW-OUT features poetry and prose readings using alternate mediums to set the tone, including both pre-recorded and live music and images. The show's diversity comes through its line-up of Calgary-based authors with experience ranging multiple publications to burgeoning new talent."
