Thursday July 6th Scream Itinerary
Written by The Administrator
Thursday, 06 July 2006

The itinerary begins at 6pm with Scream's fourth annual reading at the Toronto Women’s Bookstore, featuring the literary stylings of Jemini, Tamai Kobayashi and Souvankham Thammavongsa. Next up is the opening for this year’s art exhibition, Eye Scream IV (The Embassy), at 8pm. The show, curated by I Love You Galleries own Sharon Harris, presents an innovative photographic exhibition of urban pictographs and petroglyphs. Last up at 9pm, it’s time to get Lost (also at the Embassy), where performers Amy Lam, Trish Postle, Stephen Cain, Maggie Helwig and Bob Wiseman take us on a multimedia exploration of the world of found texts. Bring your own found texts and dare them to improvise!

From July 4 to 10, The Scream Literary Festival includes a week-long series of literary events, at venues across Toronto. This year’s festival ranges from women of the avant-garde to trailer poets to an evening of “discarded poetics.” Plus, there are a couple of great parties along the way!
